Wildlife seems to be more active in the fall. One reason for this is the cooler weather that serves as nature’s clock signaling that it’s time to get moving and prepare for winter. Also, the leaves are off the trees and the woods open up with much more visibility. With the foliage gone, the forest gets quieter and footsteps of several deer can be heard more easily.
