Just wanted to let you know we had a great time. We got in a little fishing and site seeing. The hot tub was the iceing on the cake!!. we sat in it and listened to the music from the “Grateful Head” last night(saturday night). The cabin was clean and well equipped and the bed was comfortable. It was a realxing time We plan on coming back.

We just returned from a 5-night stay at Hickory Hill. It was good to be back in “our” cabin, The Duke. Warm days and crisp nights were perfect for a winter get-away. Deer came right up to our cabin! Thanks to Shara and John’s attention to detail, we had everything we needed. So much to do, and a toasty campfire in the evenings!! Thanks Hickory Hill !!! We’ll be back !!

We stayed the weekend with another couple both she and myself are disabled and found the cabin to be the most wonderful place to relax. We were pleasently suprised to find that although there were stairs they were very large and I was able to go up and down them easily. We had the most amazing weekend and everything we could need was right there. I will be recommending the cabins to everyone I can find and we are already planning another getaway weekend ourselves. Thanks so much we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Our stay was amazing!!!
At night time, we were able to sit out on the front porch, cooking hamburgers on the grill while we listened to the woods. During the day time we went to Beavers Bend State Park. Where we cooked out, fished, floated in the water, and even walked some trails. The cabin was so perfect, we didn’t expect our cabin to be so “homey”, but by the end of the trip we didn’t want to leave. The people there are great, very laid back. Best vacation we have ever had.

I really love fly fishing. The reason I love fly fishing is that it requires a certain skill to get it right. Another thing about fly fishing is around here where I live, nobobdy hardly does it. My favorite fish to catch are Trout. Great post.

We LOVE Hickory Hill Cabins. We have stayed in Joe Bear, The Duke, and Wilderness Den. The cabins are beautiful, have everything we need, and are SO nice. They and are right at the entrance to the Park. Secluded and yet convenient. We are looking forward to our visit this summer with Shara and John and our stay at Hickory Hill!

This is a GREAT place to stay!!! We stayed four days on a fishing trip last November and had a GREAT time. Shara is a sweetheart, and we plan on another stay in March……. VERY NICE cabins!!!!!!!!! joe

This is a special and romantic place. My wife and I really enjoy the time we get to be at these well-appointed cabins. I can appreciate that the mattresses are new and I get a good night’s sleep; my wife loves the quiet beauty. The hosts are very caring and I will recommend the cabins to my friends.

I have been twice. The cabins are a great secluded getaway, and close to any action you may hope for in beautiful Beaver’s Bend!! The folks there are wonderful. I will return!
